I think that saw has no gasket and the piston was modified for squish. Hope to run the 262 this weekend. It sounds good but have only been able to shorten some campfire pine with it to date. Thank you for a smooth transaction as well. I can officially say my saw was ported by a dentist.
though that may be true, I in no way claim to be a pro builder... I'm learning, and like to pass along saws that have been resurrected.
have fun with the 262 this weekend, i'll be busy trying to figure out what to do with the 288.... I have a friend that might want it... I put a new spark plug in it, but that's it this am....and even that was just for giggles. should be a fine work saw!

just for everyone's edification, the 288 is already sold! had a friend that wanted it... he says ... "wow...THATS a SAW!"
