Ok I started a new Thread. The 262 and the 61 have the same 48mm bore, so far I have put a 365 piston into a 61 and got 180 Psi compression and on an old L65 I put a 61 piston into it bumping up the compression to 180 as well, both saws run great.

Old thread but did a 365 piston work in 262? Pick up a 261 doing a 262 conversion. Was curious if a 365 pop up piston would work in a 261/262?

While both pistons are 48mm I have never heard of anyone using a 365 piston in a 261/262. I'd go with a Meteor 262 piston and tighten the squish up and you will have a killer saw!
That’s most likely what I will end up doing. Just having crazy ideas. With as much as people talk about the 262 parts and info just from googling is slim.

A closed port 365 cylinder is bottom fed and uses a slab sided piston, 262 is side fed and uses a windowed piston.
Even if it worked in a 262, the 365 piston would likely degrade performance by a good bit.
