I recently was given a husky 3120 from my wife. I service the saws every evening. Touch the chain with a file and adjust, top off oil and fuel and check the air cleaner. I will go through about 3 tanks of fuel on the 3120 and the 395 and the 359. I noticed some fine dust in the carburetor and underneath the white plastic cover that sits on top of the air cleaner. It doesn’t look like the white plastic plate on top doesn’t seal very good. I was wondering if anyone has had same issues with the 3120I wish I could find a filter like the MS 660 with a closed top. Thanks for all the support.

Assuming you have the pleated filter. First the fines won't really hurt the saw, but yes annoying none the less. A bit of tacky grease will help seal the filter. The foam style should seal quite nicely if the proper oil is being used on it.

Thank you for the feedback, I think I am going to put a small amount of grease on the faces of the filter and see how that does. I will post how it does. I attached some photos of the fine dust getting thru. I feel if the white top had a lip all the way around it would help and keep the dust from coming thru at that spot
