I recently purchased a 346xp e-tech saw. Ive run about 10 tanks thru it and put on a non cat muffler. My question is everything i have read on this form tells me i need to richen up the jetting . However after the muffler swap i had to lean out both high and low speed jets. The saw would not idle at the factory setting. I had to lean it out a 1/4 turn. The high speed simply turn clockwise (half the distance from full rich to full lean) until i reached 13,800. Please explain why all the forms i have read say just the opposite?

congrats on the saw! not every saw is same. i am currently having issues on the carb and air filter on husky 50 that everything is backwards from what it is supposed to be. good luck!

Great saw!

Most of the time the saw can be tuned within the limiters. This changes with mods. I don't consider swapping to a non-cat muff a mod. Sounds like you did good.

Now bump to RPM up to 14,000-14,200 and cut wood :D
