I removed the muffler to do a mod and noticed that had no baffle of any sort in it, it was completely hollow. Is this correct or did someone remove the guts? Mod went fairly smoothly but needs opened up slightly more. will report back when complete.

Did you buy the saw second-hand?

If you're the original owner, then my guess is that is a non-cat muffler.

But then again, what do I know?

Yes the saw is probably 3-10 yrs old purchsed 2nd hand.

Yup, that is the pre EPA muffler. No cats in that one. Will also fit a number of saws...345 350, 351, 346xp, 353, etc

Kallaste, can you actually take your muffler apart?
The two halves in mine have been crimped together, it also has no cat.

350 muffler

no it doesnt come apart ,but the port is large enough to look into and the muffler is empty. Heck even my 1975 homelite 150 auto has atleast a baffle.
