Husqvarna 394 won’t stay running/barely starts

OK, so it was running great until:............

Until what happened?

Yep, drained the fuel tank a few times since I replaced the whole fuel system essentially. Nobody borrowed it- I know better...

Here are some pics of the carb. The pink think around Welch plug is nail polish. Read online to put some on there to make sure it seals well. Was that a bad move? (Aside from the color)‍

I've had it 2 times where the tip of the rubber end of the needle swells and sticks not allowing fuel through the carb. carb cleaner typically is the cause...no carb cleaner for the carb...brake cleaner works.

i'd definitely try a new carb. cylinder looks good. odds are, if the cylinder looks good, the seals are probably fine (though they are old at this point, no harm in swappin them out)

I still think its a fuel delivery issue. fuel not getting through the carb.

What notch? Which side are you talking about?

The one on the photos IS the replacement one which looks identical to the original one...

On diaphragm under your picture is a disc with groved stud to attach to metering lever fork.

Oh gotcha. Yea both old and new are grooved.

Yep, both old and new look like the one on the left. I’ll check the needle

Yes, when out, look through the passage.

put some fuel or brake cleaner where the needle is and press the lever. should FLOW through to other side of carb easy.
