Doing a build on a 394xp and thought since I have a near new crank from a Jonsered 2095 and are supposed to be the same I find when setting the squish the piston on a stock OEM cylinder seems to be about 25 thou to short in the stroke- don't mind shaving more off the bottom of the cylinder because I do have the setup to do it but was concerned if this would make any difference to how well she runs.

Well if you put a stock cylinder on there with no gasket the squish would be about 80 thou so I said screw it I will pop the cases and go with one of my 395 cranks and works out the way it should lesson learned, for an hour more work it is a sure thing and a lot less work in the long run- thank God for a crankcase splitter, sure cuts the time down. Done a lot of 394&5's so this seemed like the easiest way to solve the problem.
