I was given a 455 with bad piston/cylinder.
In looking at what cylinder I can fit I have come across an idea that a 465 cylinder 'may' fit.
Has anyone come across this?, is it feasible?. I can't seem to find much on the swap.
In any case I will be looking at machining a pop up piston, a touch of porting and muffler mod to a 460 cylinder if the 465 cylinder idea is a no go.
Does anyone have any other ideas on how to make these saws perform?, the saw will be a firewood saw.

Sounds like a fun project. The OEM 460 cyl kit looks reasonably priced. We like pics as you progress.

Not many people mod these or even rebuild them. It will be hard to find people to compare parts too, seeing if they are compatible. Sometimes u gotta take the leap and buy the parts.

I love upgrades like these, throwing larger top ends on smaller bottom ends. No replacement for displacement :) especially in the chainsaw world, 10cc’s make a huge difference
