Why can't I set the gap on my ignition coil and have it stay in position?
Husqvarna 55 Air Injection.
5099014-01 ignition module
I set the gap using a business card, small washers whatever... (specification is for 0.3mm?)
Tighten the coil down, spin the flywheel around a couple times to ensure it clears, waggle the magnet back and forth in front of the coil and after a little bit, the coil starts hitting the magnet....
anyone else have a similar problem? what was the solution?
Do those ignition modules need washers in the bolts?
Got it as a non runner that had been previously tampered with so anything goes...
Yes, it does produce spark. Having the module make contact with the flywheel as it's spinning is just not a sustainable option...
