Husqvarna 550 xp Meteor piston

I see that there one or two "no-brand" pistons available for the 550, and was wondering if anyone knows whether Meteor or Golf is producing one yet. Seems to be quite a few 550's showing up lately with scored (lean ?) p/c's. I happen to be one of the unlucky buyers!

I've put no-name pistons in several saws and haven't had one blow up yet. I get mine from 'the bay, mostly Chinese

Why not buy oem. They are like 50 bucks and you know what you are getting?

I am replacing mine with an OEM piston, just wondering if Meteor or Golf had come out with one yet, as an alternative choice.

Yep, if I had a Husqvarna I would replace with OEM because they're not much higher priced than aftermarket. As far as I know Stihl hasn't lowered their prices. I've only replaced one p/c on a Husky with aftermarket and has worked very well however.

Meteor meets or exceeds OEM specs but is near OEM in price. I have not had very good luck with Golf.
