Husqvarna 562XP For Chunking Down

Is a Husky 562xp with a 28" bar a good choice for chunking down a 4.5 foot oak?

Nope, That sounds like 90cc work to me.

It's kind of a personal choice. You'll be longer in the cut, but slinging less saw up there. My personal preference was always more saw.

Thanks. I normally don't take jobs that big, but this person just became a widow and dealing with all kinds problems, financial and otherwise and asked if I could help.

Thank you! I guess I will get a better feel for it when I see it in person. Good to it's possible, but probably not great. This will probably be a one time thing. The person asking for my help is very nice person in a tough spot.

When you say "chunking down", I presume you are talking about cutting from an aerial device or climbing?

No. A 28" bar would be very challenging to match the cuts well enough to cut the chunks off. Unless you are remarkably skilled and strong as well, you will be many hours and struggling a LOT to get that cut down. It doesn't help that you will be obliged to run that saw somewhat backwards on 1/2 of the tree, and this gets challenging to hold the saw for extended periods, especially if you are on rope and spurs.
