Hi

I'm looking to get a new chain for my saw currently got a 20" bar and chain on it. The chain has maybe 5mm before the witness line left. Considering i'm going to be cutting of some stumps soon its probally going to finnish it.

I've got my orginal box which says it H42 72EE chain no. 501 84 14-72
I've managed to find a website that sells the suff H42 72E with the same chain no.

My question is whats the difference between H42 72EE and H42 72E? Is one not got drive guards for kick back protection or is one a full chisel rather than semi?

Thanks

Andy

H42 is rebadged Oregon 73LP (.58 gauge).

The chain are round ground Chisel chain with anti-vibe chassis, ramped depth gauges (rakers), but not bumper tie straps. It cuts fast and smooth imo.

I do not know what the letter suffixes after the drive link count means, but I have seen them change before without any notisable change to the chain....

I suspect that it could mean about the same as lot numbers on ammo.
