Husqvarna part number help

I picked up a Husqvarna 55 recently and the clutch cover is shot, the part number stamped on cover is 501 87 42 1, the grey handle is stamped 503 84 10.

Did they have the wrong cover on this saw, maybe why it failed ?

The saw is a 1998 model.

What is the correct part number for this saw?

501 87 42 is the part number for the thing inside the clutch cover, not the magnesium cover...

Part numbers change. If the part fit well, they will work.

The old numbers have been replaced by the new ones.... for the chain brake lever, anyhow.
