Well the front grate that is... because it is glowing red right now.
Have had the stove for a few years, and I notice that now when I build up a good bed of coals the removable log retaining grate gets cherry... didn't do that before this year as I recall. No other hot spots, stovetop around 550 600. Door gasket maybe?
Anyone else experience this with their Jotul 3?

My father in law says not to worry till it gets yellow-white, but then again, he uses four inches of sand in the bottom of his stove to cover up the holes he burned through the firebox...
