I've used Husky and Stihl with no ill effects from either.

I have had GREAT luck switching my truck over to Royal Purple, that is the only reason I tried it in my saws. I can't honestly say I've seen any real difference from the switch.

Not Another Oil Thread!

Sure are seeing a lot of these oil threads lately...I guess I'll add my 2-cents. I run Stihl Ultra 50:1 in all my Stihls. Not had a problem whatsoever. Any name brand oil in the appropriate mix would surely work fine. I stick with manufacturer oil brands; Stihl for Stihl, Echo for Echo, etc...

Other than that...I think GAS71 is right! :sucks:

As a saw dealer, I recommend everyone runs straight gasoline.

Simon

Not trying to set you up or bait you, we know your young, but I do know you have torn down a few saws.

How would you rate 2-cycle saw oils, best to worst?

My .02 cents worth would be....

#1 Mobil 2t strong tie with Stihl Ultima

#2 Echo Power-Blend*

#3 Stihl's para-syn

#4 Coin flip on Husky , Stihl or Bailey's house blend : http://store.baileys-online.com/cgi-bin/baileys/142?mv_session_id=cWSQnqek&product_sku=17040

There are a lot more out there, *I currently run Power-Blend out of convenience.
