Hey people,
A fella is selling a mint condition 056 with the magnum II plaque on it.
It is a beauty!
I want this one for its age and muscle.
He gave me the (serial # 115377246)
Can any of you out there, tell me how to verify this s.n.# so that I know what I'm buying is in fact a magnum II
I researched a bit.
056
056 super
056 magnum II
of course I am hoping the plaque on it is original. But anyone can buy these and slap them on any saw.
Any wisdom out there will greatly appreciated
Thank you

Just a thought, from the pictures it looks the same vintage as the rest of the saw, and tbh who would work that hard to sell an older saw? First toud have to find the plate, hope to have the correct rivets and stick it on. More likely (to me) is the guy just dosen't need the saw any more.

Apart from the exhaust port size, also note the notched corners on the base of the 056 Mag cylinder. Also the angled fins on the Super cylinder appear to be factory machined off, whereas the angled fins on the Magnum are as cast.

Looking at the saw in the above pics it appears to be a genuine 056 Mag, and in very good condition.

Thank you all! I really appreciate your highly valued inputs!
I will go ahead and buy this saw.
Btw, not in California, rather up on British Columbia Canada. So shouldn't be an issue.
Again thank you all very much!
