any idea what the oldest japanese maple in the U.S.A. is? Ihave one that has
an 8 foot trunk 50 feet high I am told it is the oldest in New England. do
you know or could you direct me to a source that would know? would greatly
appreciate any help.

If it is indeed a champion, they will probably want to send someone out to photograph it and document it.

The Cypress tree (The Senator) on the opening page is about 4 miles from my house. I know 2 climbers that have been up in it in the last 10 years, it's an awesome tree!
