I've ported my saw and put it back together and didn't have a cyl. gasket and used a little bit of silicone and put it back together and it wouldn't idle. It sounded like it was running a 1/2-3/4 throttle. I toke it apart and saw that the silicone was squeezed out and reapplied it and left it apart and i will put it back together tonight to see if this helps. Any tips?

Quick update...
I broke a ring, when I was putting it together and went to pull it over ZERO compression. Going to buy a ring. Should i get a new piston? No rough/sharp edges and the exhaust side has some scuffing and the piston is very black on the top and sides. Would there be an advantage to having a 52E piston VS a 49SP. Which will make more compression?
