It's pretty deep, and vertical. It looks like the ring broke, and broke through the upper part of the piston.

OP check your green coil to see if it is the rev limited ones to around 11.5K. Cant stand those and pull them.

I sell all the 52's off NOS and used to help others. I just keep the 48 50 quads and 54's around. I just put my last 54mm on a build because of this crap. Couple 54's with pistons.

Even have nos 1 ring and 2 ring pistons. Last build I used the 2 ring.

I’m not knocking him at all. Half the fun is seeing the final result. Glad someone else is willing to post up some port work.

The finish work hardly takes any time. Split mandrel and some sand paper.
