Difference between hard wood and pine is significant , but one is the "angle" u have to approach the limbs when breaking it down. Pine it is easier to go along the tree, in parallel. Hard wood perpendicular. SO here is a demonstration of small saw in hard wood tops. Is it a liability?? But Also using vintage Jonsereds. Those little Husqvarna's and Jonsered's from the 1980's really had been developed to where they were very effective. Here I discuss long bar vs. short bar in hard wood tops. :)
