Hello guys
I’m helping an old boy sell his 920 for parts and have gotten this far. I plan to split the case from here but before I start lumping the clutch with a hammer, has anyone got any advice? I don’t have a case splitting tool and don’t want to buy one because I might never split a case again, but at the same time the old boy really needs to maximise income from this saw so I don’t want to damage anything either.
Any advice much appreciated 07274977-EF0C-4871-A0E7-9EC91CF01542.jpeg0FC4C5A5-9957-490E-AA9C-F5D36663A9EA.jpeg

I just use a two-arm flywheel puller and have it “grab” the case and push on the crankshaft. I’ve yet to break/damage a case with it, but one of these days I’ll buy a real case splitter.
Yes, good idea thanks. I have a few two and three arm pullers I can use
