My 490 oiler adjustment via screwdriver only allows 180 degrees of screw movement..Is this normal? I'm assuming that counterclockwise means more oil on the blade? Am I correct in my assumptions?
Most of my other saws have oiler adjustments that encompass several complete rotations of the adjustment screw. Just wondering if the 490 is radically different.

thanks, all

The screw would fully rotate without the limiter plate, but it wouldn't give more oil. It is a much different design than the older Jonsereds. Too much screw movement and the suction will be lost from the tank because that part of the shaft will lose contact with the rubber seal on the pickup.

At least that is the way I think it works.
