I have a question regarding landscaping...Will this hurt my existing trees if I lay fresh soil with beauty bark around my trees to make a depression level without weakening the trees roots or foundation?

How deep is this depression? IOW, how much soil are you going to be putting down?

If you are talking about the depression formed by the ring of dirt around the tree, flatten the ring. Keep the trunk clear, so you can find the flare.
