Looks like it was standing dead? That should brig you a few good weeks of warmth.
Yes, it was standing dead. There was actually 2 I cut down but the other was much smaller. Once overtime slows down at work I can get it cut and split.

And not a bit of that stump wasted either.
I'm thinking the rounds will be tough to even roll around. I see lots of noodling in the future. I worked on all the smaller stuff last night. Got about 25' of trunk left. I stopped when the 25" bar wouldn't cut it all. I'll get the 36" after it.

43" Yep, that's a big-un. I was guessing 32" until I saw the tape. Bigger than it looks by the pics.
Well, I got it all bucked plus another smaller one. Started noodling and stacking for the splitter.
