Local power company did good

Went up to the upper property this afternoon and found the power company had brushed out the road, removed all the windfalls out of the road and left them in nice neat piles along the road. I don't know if firewood cutting can get any easier than this. Looks like there will be plenty to do this fall.

I got one like that two weeks ago. A new powerline cut right along a township road. I got the firewood rights (free ) from the land owner. The power company dropped all the trees, I just pulled up, cut it all up and tossed it in the trucks. Mostly red oak, and a couple decent saw logs too! I sure wish they were all that easy.
