Want to Buy looking for a 084 Cylinder and possibly piston kit

uh oh lol, now after buying it I find out the 084 is near impossible to get a new cylinder other then spending $300-400 online >_< DOH should of done my homework but 180 for a complete saw that looked real nice with two bars (36" & 48") and 3 chains isnt that bad of a deal still i don't think.!!!


Well maybe someone here has a used head in good shape? haha can't hurt to ask

I believe the pistons interchange with an 088/MS880...I have an OEM one coming tomorrow I could sell ya.

Yes, the piston does interchange.

Have you considered trying to clean the cylinder up? There's a bunch of different ways guys do it with a lot of success....

no not yet i was gonna have someone look at it but i can feel gouges in the cylinder. not super seep but probably enough to leak and lose performance if not be trouble down the road

Post a picture of it. If you can't find one have that one relined for $200.

I would try to clean it up. I don't see any reason it won't clean up.
