I seen they are similar, I rebuilt a nrd but the ND seems much simpler and doesn't have the brass rivet to stake down the diaphram and I believe the fuel metering needle is different as well.
There's 2 kits available for rebuild. I was looking for a diagram to see what kit I was going to buy. One has gaskets the other has a bunch of miscellaneous parts plus the gaskets. Thanks
It's been years since I was into these on my Wrights. The NRD was a little more challenging as I recall. I also used the SC kits. I'm not near my saws or documents right now but can look more when I return in a couple weeks if needed.
Thanks, no worries. Yea compared to a tilly hl159a that nrd was like rocket science to me. Take care and appreciate the knowledge and info.
The main difference between the ND and NRD is the fuel pump diaphragm and housing/inlet check valve. They both have the other check valve built into the inlet needle seat.

Thanks! Just needed to know if the kit I was looking at had all the necessary parts. The fuel metering needle doesn't have an o ring unlike the nrd which does. That exploited view answered my ? Thanks again! I'm ordering the kit now. Hopefully I will be able to send a pic of the saw running by early next week.
Way to be optimistic, but I'll be surprised if you get the kit that soon. Maybe though
I ordered it from marine discount parts. It's in the upper peninsula of michigan and I'm in central MI. They are usually 3-5days but that sugar creek place is 2+ weeks. The place in michigan gives you alot more pieces but twice the $. So far I bought 5 or 6 kits and all have been great
Exactly I thought you mentioned getting it from Sugar Creek.
Yea the diagram that was provided here helped me make my decision on what kit to buy. Appreciate all you guys having that literature available.
