I'm here because I really Like these old saws!
I have found one or two 2171s to look at
I opted Not to mention names because it's not a done deal.....

Rod hasn't been on since a few hours after he posted about his 2171. I'm sure he'll respond once he logs back on. Remember the site was very wonky the last few days.

I have an old 2171 I picked up 2nd hand. I also have a 372 x torq bought new in January. I find myself using the 2171 more.
 
You as well on the Mastermind 044/440. 044 and 064 are as good as it gets with Stihl. I just have tunnel vision when a 288 is on the table.:baba:
 
Yea,I may end up regretting letting the 288 go
But it's really to much for my needs and back
, the two I've picked up may not be much better ...weight wise
We'll see I guess
