machete speedemon

Today I found a saw and I have no Idea who makes it. it appears to be from the 50s. the gas tank looks like a mini chopper tank(teardrop). The tank says speedemon with one "d". alot of the paint is gone. nothing indicating make on serial numbers. Good size saw. Trigger handle has no bottom guard. on top of saw the word "machete". Any Ideas? sorry didnt have time for pics. I can buy it for next to nothing. But the guy wants to make sure its not a gold mine before he sells it to me. I would go on acres site but it would take forever without a lead. any sugestions?

That Strunk has a float carb which = no all-position cutting. It left the factory with less than ideal compression. Basically it was sold to people who didn't know any better when new and is a SLUG now, but kinda cute if dolled back up. JMHO. $50 tops IF it's already in running condition!
