Magnolia Bark Damage

Deer have rubbed bark off a young magnolia. I've trimmed it clean. Now what should I do? I've heard varying (pro & con) comments on the use of wound dressings and wrappings.

Deer have rubbed bark off a young magnolia. I've trimmed it clean. Now what should I do? I've heard varying (pro & con) comments on the use of wound dressings and wrappings.

Probably con, but can't say for sure without a picture.

The bigger problem may be that deer come back to the same site to rub. Pictures will help.
