This may be a little off topic, but it deals with firewood and saws. Sorry I didn't take any pics, but I made some charcoal yesterday following instructions at this site http://web.archive.org/web/20050212102919/www.eaglequest.com/~bbq/charcoal/index.html

I don't think I let my wood catch fire good before I put on the lid. White thick smoke poured out like a freight train for hours. Probably ticked the neighbors off:rolleyes: I came out with some pretty good clumps. I may give it another try one of these days. I've read about other ways to make it that doesn't put out so much smoke-may give it a try. Anyone else ever made any?

I can make it in my OWB

If I shut the draft all the way off.. can basically turn a whole piece of firewood into charcoal. But while doing so, whole lots of moisture and smoke come out for a while
