massaging my 371

I'm massaging the ports/squish on the 371 I got last month . This will be my 1st port work. Question ; should I reuse existing piston ? The machine marks are still on the piston for the top 1/3 , and on the bottom 1/3 of the piston . The center 1/3 of the piston is as smooth as a baby's bottom , machine lines are gone . What do the pro-techs think ?
