We have an old 235R brush cutter and the muffler is bad. The old ones have a muffler that is held on by two screws. All I have been able to find is the newer muffler with three screws. The place for the third screw looks like it would rest on a pad on the old 235R so there doesn't seem to be room to run a nut and bolt thru it to block the hole. Like to get it running again. Any bright ideas? Hate to trash an other wise good running tool. If there is a better place to post this, please let me know. Have not been able to find a Husky dealer in the Portland area that seems to know much on these brush cutters.

Call Husqvarna

If you have the model number and serial number they should be able to get you going. You'll probably have to order the muffler through a dealer, but they will give you the correct part number to have him order.

Check the muffler itself. Husky is usually pretty good about having the part number stamped in. Of course if the old muffler is rusted beyond hope, this may not be an option.

Take Care
