Count, ole buddy, I think you have made a fine decision. As a matter of fact I also think that if you had decided on a stihl that would have been fine as well. However, I can tell you that after having my 346 for a while, I feel very strong that you will be very pleased that you decided upon it. That being said congratulations and good luck falling those Translyvanian trees. Im sure you will have a real good time using this saw!

i`m sure too. I keep wondering if it is not too small for big trees...
anyway, I have sent the mail to the US and now it would be a long, long waiting game....
I`ll press you guys some more regarding a 70ish saw sometime in the future. I don`t care for brands as long it is Husky or Stihl (LOL)

Havent ran one but in my hands it felt pretty cheap compared to the 260 pro. Thats a very nice saw!

I`m sure it is; but somewhat more expensive and less power.
also 346 accelerates better they say

but I wouldn`t mind having one.
for a while I thought to wait for the 261...but can`t wait;
maybe a future saw. I still think highly of Stihl
