Ms 361 spark arrest or screen

i was attempting to pull the screen out of the muffler to clean it and broke the tab off flush. There is nothing to grab onto now. Any ideas as to how I can remove the screen?

Make one out of a stiff piece of wire.

I tried a few small screw drivers and fish hooks. They all broke off. That screen is really stuck.

Soak the muffler in some fuel for 24 hours, it might help loosen (break down) the crud that's making it stick.

I ended up bending the muffler out around the screen enough so I could get a pair of pliers on the screen. Still took a lot of force to get it out though. Just tapped the metal back with a hammer and put the tab back on, but without the screen attached. That will do until I can get a new screen.
