Looking for some advice on a bad oil leak thats ponding up behind clutch when saw is running. Short of just replacing it with a new one. Is there anything else that could be causing it and any tricks or things to look for when making the switch? Thanks in advance for all yall do. Writing from beautiful Appomattox Va. Waiting on the big snow storm. Also the bar is getting lots of oil too.

Thanks a bunch. I`check the hose for cracks. What part of Va. did you end up in?

Not much of a chance of it being the hose unless its cracked where the pump fits against it.

Best thing to do is just pull the clutch and see whats going on in there. Should be pretty easy to figure out.

Its most likely the rubber seal on the input or output side of the pump.

The input hose is P/N 1128 647 9405. The output sealing ring is 1122 649 5000. If someone has been into the saw, they may have used compressed air to clean out the dirt around the pump (with the pump removed) and blew the sealing ring out by accident.
