I took off my limiter caps and poped a hole in the muffler. I was wondring who has a tach in northern California(Santa Rosa) close to it or where can I get a tach, or a good judgement on what is a good set point.H is 1 turn out L Is 1/2turn out sond good or no.

Just take the saw to your nearest dealer,buy some oil,gloves whatever and then ask if the mechanic can take a quick look
