MS 660

Hi All

I have not posted for a while i hope this is the right place.

Im looking for a saw for my mate Just wondering if someone could tell me what year this saw was built? the serial number is 163448823 its a ms660.Thoughts if anyone has the same saw built in the same year?Any problems we should be aware of.Also if someone could send me a link on how to read the serial number what they mean?
Looking forawrd to advice I love this site its been to long.

My MS660 is 17769..... & its a 2012/13 model. Don't know if that helps but yours is an earlier number. Good ol tough saws with good parts availability and AM options. I like mine, ran it today in some 20" gum. Not as smooth as a modern spring av saw but they are a good workhorse.
