Used my new ms200t this week. What a nice saw! Don't know how I did without before.

I was reading through the owner's manual the other day (yeah I think it is a good thing to do) and they say to clean the air filter when it is needed. What's up with that? I always clean my 044 air filter when I tank up, just bang it out a little bit.

How often do you guys who have an ms200t clean the air filter?

Thanks,
Chris

whats up with posting the question here, its an arborists saw after all.
anyway, i (or my groundsman) will brush out the air filter on every fill, and clean thoroughly with wd40 and an airline when needed, usually about once a fortnight

what does it matter all threads get side tracked anyway.
dont you use a chain saw when climbing
lighten up,let some the air out of your head its getting to big
or spend some more time with net tree lady and relive some
pressure

i very rarely clean my saws . i just don't get the time ..and beleive it or not they dont last any longer or any less longer imo..maybe once a week i clean my 020ts air filter shes 5 years old

What's an air filter? :D

Seriously, I tap it to get rid of all the saw dust daily. I put in a new one about every 6 months.
