i've got a new ms200t an it smokes an a littel black blow off. this is my first ms200t sould i worry

Have you tried tuning it out? If you're smoking, you're likely rich.

This could be simply paint burning off the muffler.If it was engine oil smoke it would be a bluish tint. I would not be overly concerned, unless the clutch is dragging.

i will have to find out how to tune it out an i thank its not paint but not shur. thanks for the help plz let me know if you have some more ideas.

Spell check would be helpful, one of those gray buttons below the message box. As for the saw, what type / ratio mix are you using? To much oil in the mix will make it smoke. Most new saws will smoke a few tanks until they are broken in. Did the dealer set it up? If it is under warranty avoid doing any adjustments until a few tanks have gone through and then bring it to the dealer. Good luck.

it was the mix. i had put husky oil in the steel saw. it cleaned up once i changed the mix.

Make that Stihl and not steel and you're good! (Apart from the i's).

What are you doing with that saw? That's one of the best saws out there, if not the best, for tree work.

Spelling is better and easier to understand, thanks. Stihl and husky both premium mix and one should not make the other smoke. Sounds like you might have mixed it wrong and had too much oil in the mix. Be careful, you bought a very expensive saw and it would be a shame to ruin it with improperly mixed fuel. be careful.
