Can I convert an ms661c from m tronic to regular coil and carb?

Probably because the parts are different.

It will actually run if you only change to an adjustable carb but you have to leave the solenoid plugged into the harness, but there’s not much room to tuck it into the carb box. And you’d have to bend the choke linkage a bit to get it to work

I wouldn’t change it over either if I had one of the later models that weren’t as problematic. But some folks like to be able to turn the screws. I get that
