What happened between the 2nd and 3rd pictures? That's one dented housing.

Well I started punching it out from the port side with a hammer and punch but wound up prying it out part of the way. The metal straightens easy and then you just tack it all the way around. It was probably 100-150 tacs. Even on lowest voltage setting, my welder would burn thru if you tried to weld a bead.

I did this... not that loud at all. Sounds really good.

I’m planning to mod mufflers but removing that center divider and replacing it with a stainless mesh. I need an excuse to buy a 110 MiG welder.

Fired up my 353 the other day. Found out that little saw is loud stock.

Does anyone find that when using an open muffler, the four-stroking can’t be heard at WOT? That was my experience

Instead of the outlet being horizontal how about making a verticle scoop infront of the muffler so the noise is muffled downward somewhat. Just wondering how to cut the loudness down.

If I'm looking at it right, you drilled thru the catalyst, right? I'm wondering if it still gets as hot after your mod. I get that it's not restrictive any more but is it still making heat like it did before the mod?
