I usually stick with oak and hickory in my stove. A tree guy I help out told me I can haul away couple pickup's full of Mulberry. Is this good hardwood to burn for heat
only alot of brush to deal with...
I think once mulberry is dryed good it burns as good as oak. only alot of brush to deal with...
No brush to deal with, all cut and stacked I just have to go pick it up.
Thanks fellas

Mark knows what he is talking about. Just be sure that it is dry. Dry mulberry burns with a vengeance. :angry2:Take it! Good stuff, it is.
except that it does throw sparks when fresh air hits the coals.
I love those mini explosions. No wood species outburns dry mulberry (hackberry is perhaps the closest). Go berrywoods! :yourock:PS I always thought it to be that thick sticky photosynthate and its sugars that caused the mini explosions.
