My "New" 545

So.... Found a killer deal on a brand new Husqvarna 545. Guess it was $150 less than any other local dealer for a reason.. Fed ex dropped it off just now and the first thing I noticed is that it's a 2013 model year (week 40). Great.... I've read enough on here to know that the early ones had issues. Saw fired right up and ran great. Revved quick, idled fine. So... My question... Do I take it in right away, have the software updated? Have the new carb installed? Or just run it and wait for it to act up? Did anyone have good luck with these early saws? Or were they all duds?

If it’s warrentied. I’d just go get it updated.

I personally would just run it, but better to be on the safe side and follow Jake's advice.

Mine was 2013, bought then too and no troubles. Bought new shipped to my door for $400 total.

I'm not sure. Any way to tell? Mine is 2103 week 40. I read somewhere that they changed the carb in week 39. So hopefully I have the newer one.

My "new" 2 week old 2013 model 2258 (555) has it on the side of the carburetor. Chain side, I believe.
