i have question for the pro . I'm looking for buy a couple of specialized tool sale in Europe . Here are the pictures of the tools

i don't know about the name in English ? And if theses tools are available in the USA or in Canada ?

I think Baileys sells some of these(maybe not exactly like that) I think they are called wqods knives or some such thing. Give it a look. Good luck,

In Britain, the single handed tool would be called a billhook, traditionally and often still used for hedgelaying, coppicing and for wood related crafts such as hurdle making and thatching. They can be purchased new but it is said that older examples are preferred, the method of manufacture giving a stronger and more durable tool. Names too look for are Elwell, Brades, Tyzack and probably most convenient for you can be found on the net from specialist tool dealers.

Those things are bringing back some bad memories....my hands are aching just looking at them! I've just known them as a brush sandvik....good for wacking fireweed and not so good for wacking alder :taped:

One info more, the name in french ( from France not in Canada ) of the longest one is " Coupe ronces " . Direct traduction is " bramble cuter " . But I don't think that is the real name in english.
