need help identifying tree

Thought it was a Locust, but would like to know for sure as I have a bunch more to drop.

Has long black bean pods. In spring, sheds little yellow pollen balls, small pointed leaves, around 18 or more per stem. drops dead wood like a cat sheds hair. Has what I would call a tight, smooth bark structure.

This is in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Sounds like a honey locust but pictures would be a big help. See attached, do the pods look like this?

Same coloration, but longer and seem to make a twist or two. They don't seem to be as dense as that, but then I will try to get a picture today.
