Hello arborists, I need help with pollination of a pistachio tree in a backyard in the San Francisco bay area. The tree may be about 10 years old and the nuts it produces are not well formed. There are no other pistachio trees nearby, so it does not have a a male pollinator. So I'm wondering if I can plant a male pollinator nearby to successfully pollinate this tree? If possible, what variety should I plant? Here are some pics:
