Hello everybody!
My name is Guillaume, and i'm a french lumberjack.
I always used stock machines until now, in my country every pro lumberjack used Stihl or Husky.
Last week, my chainsaw dealer propose me a Béal TR790
Tronçonneuses EXPERTPRO-TR790, Marque BÉAL - Yvan BEAL
As you can see, it's a Dolmar 7900.
I look on the internet, and it seems to be a great saw, and i can buy it for a really good price, so i buy it.
Then, i discover this great forum, and after a lot of reading, i have a lot of questions:
-I see many 7900 with modified muffler. Is that really efficient for a working chainsaw? It's not too noisy? Can i do it myself?
-On ebay, i see this:
Custom Modified Dolmar 7900 Power Ported Chainsaw Muffler | eBay
But the seller say that's only for exhibition, is that true?
-I think i will order that,
Chainsawr Dolmar 6400 - 7900 Chainsaw Heavy Duty Air Filter Kit 957 173 400 NEW (D-Bulky2)
I can't find it in europe, is it really better than stock filter?
In France, nobody mod chainsaws, but it seems really interesting. Thank you in advance for your answers!
