Just opened. Chain oil reservoir has a brass colored metal object bouncing around. Suspect okay as some type of audible warning to let me know when the reservoir is empty, but want to be sure before I crank it up. After browsing the manual I came up empty-handed.

It is a filter so you do not pick up large particals through the system.

The brass filter needs to be attached to the oil line. If it is not take it back and have it fixed.
 
Clunk setup. The filters in the fuel and oil tanks are weighted so that they will be at the bottom of the tank no matter what the position of the saw.
