i went back and looked to. i can tell the lower ring is upside down. i can barely see it well enough to tell.

but i doubt this would cause compression to fall way below normal

I think you need glasses Evan:hmm3grin2orange: I don't know why I posted them,I guess because I can and I like posting pics.I had no problem with mine but I used the OEM piston and got the rings from Baileys and used a base gasket.No compression has to be the piston & ring if everything else was put together right.But like said before it won't or shouldn't run at 60 psi.:chainsaw:

Hard to see but I think you need to pull that P/C off and have a better look. The muffler and the P/C do not look good for such a small amount of run time.

I am assuming that you did not clean the muffler to bare metal out before the rebuild.

What exactly did you repair/replace on the saw before swapping the P/C out?
